BioAgency man. Specialist in torture and interrogation. Before he took on the alias Jack Harkness he had the alias John Thane... and more issues than the Library of Congress Periodical Reading Room.
Maybe the best way to describe Thane is "the product of a catastrophic moral failure." But knowing who he is won't help so much – he's already decided he's too far gone to be saved, and what's left is revenge on the things that got him here.
And, having taken over an older, stronger, more immortal body than the one he remembers... he's got a good chance of seeing that through.
John Thane is an RP character. Everything he says or does may be considered a work of fiction.
If he offends you, fair enough, he frequently offends his player as well.
He is not associated with Doctor Who, Torchwood, the BBC or John Barrowman, except in being inspired obliquely by their portrayals of things.
He's not making anyone any money, so don't sue.
